CBC News in Canada has released an interview with neuroscientist Daniel Ansari in which the Canada Research Chair in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Western Ontario draws attention to…well, our lack of attention. Ansari says there is a lack of awareness when it comes to dyscalculia, which makes early diagnosis and intervention more difficult. Listen to the interview here.
Our most recent post put the spotlight on math anxiety and our top choice for resources this week is a lighthearted account of the symptoms of this anxiety. By lighthearted we mean the whole office was chuckling as we read through Diagnostic Exam: Do You Have Math Anxiety? by Paul Rudnick in the New Yorker.
