Filmmaker Steven Spielberg has made an appearance on this blog before. His name popped up in the news recently as he was awarded the presidential medal of freedom last week. Spielberg has spoken publicly about his dyslexia, opening up about his feelings of being different and providing inspiration and encouragement to others with dyslexia.

Spielberg was honored along with Barbra Streisand and other luminaries in fields ranging from science to politics to environmental activism. Read the Guardian’s article on the ceremony for more details.
